GENERAL ADVICE

• Always take detailed pictures of your item (incl. box and size tag)

• Keep all your pictures and negotiation protocols saved for at least 6 months

• If you decide to have a meetup always take a friend with you and choose a busy place as location. The ideal place is a bank with an ATM that lets you deposit money

• The only valid payment option during a meetup is CASH, ONLY CASH!

• Never to business with minors as they are not legally competent to make such transactions. The sales contract can be revoked by the parents to your disadvantage

PAYPAL GOODS & SERVICE

• Buyers can open a case on you up to 180 day after the transaction

• The amount in question will be blocked on your account or your deposited bank account

• Only after the case is closed the money will be released again. If you lose the case the money will be gone

• Sometimes it can be really random who will win the case

PAYPAL FRIENDS & FAMILY

• After the payment the buyer can report an “unauthorized access” on his account. You will lose the money and the shoes

• The buyer could also report that he accidentally paid by friends & family instead of good & services. Paypal will revoke the transaction. Again you will lose the money and the shoes

BANK & REVOLUT TRANSFER The buyer has to open (and win) a lawsuit against you to see his money again. This is the safest option for sellers!

CASH

• Small risk of getting fake money or getting mugged

• If possible use an ATM machine with the money deposit option

CASH ON DELIVERY

• The buyer can refuse the package or let it stay at the local post office for about one week. You will have to pay all costs involved

• If the transaction successful it will take around 7 days until you get the money transferred from the post office

How to convince a buyer to pay via bank transfer

• Offer a legit check on your person ( in a Facebook group,etc.)

• Link your real eBay account (ideal case: with a lot of positive reviews)

• Offer tagged pictures ( with your name + time + date and maybe a specific code word)

• Offer a picture with your ID but never reveal your ID number

• Offer your mobile number to have a short call or Whatsapp conversation

• Offer to buy the DHL label before the money has arrived (it can be cancelled) but only ship after you really have received the money
